Simple Words....

Words have far greater power Than this world will ever know, For they can heal the broken-hearted And cause the small and weak to grow. They give hope to the tired and discouraged, When said with a warm, loving smile, And they can strengthen the step of the weary As they travel that last rugged mile. Yes, words can lift up the spirits Of those who are bowed with despair, For words can fill them with courage, Because they show them how much you care. Gentle words spoken at just the right time Can soften a cold, hardened heart, And in the dark times of doubt and of fear, Strength, joy and peace they impart. So think carefully about each word that you speak, And how somebody may be affected, For words can also kill and destroy, If by love they have not been perfected. So speak only words that encourage.

A few kind words were spoken to me the other day. Although they were just a couple words they touched my heart. So to that person (if they ever read this lol) Thank you.

Legend of Sasquatch

My middle daughter Elli (8) said one of the silliest things yesterday. I thought it would be nice to go and rent a movie for the girls to watch while daddy watched his. So I went to the local RedBox and rented The Legend of Sasquatch.

When the girls got home I told them I rented the movie and to get their homework done so they could watch it. As I placed the DVD in the player, Elli looks at me with the most serious face and says...."I wonder what a Sasquatch taste like?" This question probably comes from the "If we have never tried it and it sounds good, then we buy and try it.

I was trying very hard not to bust out laughing and hurt her feelings. I told her "Well, I guess like fur." She looks at me with a puzzled face and says.... "Why would a vegetable taste like fur?" With that simple question I lost all control I had over my laughter. But once I explained to her further what a sasquatch was, she was laughing just as hard.

Try it Tuesday.....

Okay I know its not Tuesday but I figured I would post it a couple days late......

We have a family rule that we try new things. So whenever something stricks our fancy we get it and try it...

Annie (my oldest daughter) came with me to the grocery store the other day and while we were in the produce section she asked me if we could get some GRAPPLES. I honestly thought she was pulling a joke on me..So after I told her there is no such thing a nice guy in the Krogers department was ever so kind to point out in front of Annie that her mother was WRONG!

So what are GRAPPLES....They are Grapes and Apples combined into one fruit. Well sorta. They take "premium" Extra Facy Gala or Fuji Apples and soak them in concentrated grape juice and water.

They were $2.99 for 4 apples. The apples even smelled like grapes. They also had quite a bit of grape flavor to them. Would I go and spend that much on grapples all the time....NO WAY. Even though they tasted great thats still a little expensive for 4 apples.

Starting a Blog.....

Thats right I am starting a blog.....I figure that since I am a SAHM it would be nice to share some of the things that go on in my life. So a little about me....

I am a Stay at home mom of 3 girls. (I will have to come up with code names for them later.) I will always be a mom first. Sorry hun but you would say the same about being a dad...lol

I am a wife to a wonderful husband of almost 12 years. We have been together for 15 1/2 years. Since I was 15. He is a hard working dad. but is fun too.

My husband and I also coach my middle daughters soccer team. I love them girls. They are such a fun group of kiddies. (more on that later) My oldest daughter also plays soccer but shes getting to the stage where its not as cool to hang out with your parents. My littlest one will be playing this coming fall. She is so excited. I asked the soccer board to let her play early since she is a big girl to start out with.

I am also going to school for mursing and phlebotomy. I am loving it.

Well thats all about me for now. I will try and post a new entry soon.
